After School Enrichment Programs: Fall 2025
The mission of Pittsford PTSA's After School Enrichment Program is to provide safe and supervised after-school educational, enriching and/or recreational programs for school-age children in grades K-5. Building PTSA's choose programs based on their individual demographics, interest level, and parent commitment. All programs require the approval of the Pittsford District and the building principal.

Please note: Programs on this page are for Mendon Center Elementary students only. Before registering your child for any ASE courses, please read the ASE Policies . It is especially important to read and understand policy #12 about parent volunteers.

If a program is full when you try to register, use the waitlist form to be put on a waiting list for that program.

Disclaimer and refund policy: You may withdraw your child and request a refund up to 7 calendar days prior to the start of
the program; online payment fees will be deducted from all refunds regardless of refund date. Less than 7 days prior to a
program’s start date, or after a program has begun, only medical refunds (with a doctor’s statement) will be granted.
Refunds may be prorated based on the date of notifying the PTSA ASE committee; all expenses incurred by the ASEP or the
instructor will be deducted from any refund. Please keep in mind other after school commitments when registering that may
conflict (band, chorus, newspaper club, etc.).

Join in on the fun of learning chess with the Rochester Chess Center. Chess is designed to build critical-thinking skills, self-confidence, sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes in a challenging and exciting way.
The Rochester Chess Center has been part of the Rochester community for over 30 years and enjoys teaching throughout Monroe County schools.
Cricket Clinic Cost: $150 (12 classes)

Learn the fundamentals of cricket! This global game is enjoyed by 2 billion people worldwide and is expanding in the U.S. Batting, bowling, and fielding skills will be taught. Cricket matches are conducted throughout the season.

Kidding Around Yoga is, in essence, stress management for kids. Students in grades K-5 receive creative instruction in meditation, breathing practices, relaxation, and therapeutic poses. KAY incorporates a series of creative games and yoga-based activities that emphasize the "whole child," combined with original music designed for fun, play and active learning.

Hello MCE language learning enthusiasts, creative thinkers, poetic hearts, wonderful explorers, and STEM buffs! A warm welcome to you all in this third Hindi-English bilingual fun program, following the 2025 Spring enrichment and International Day fun workshop at MCE. At this level, we will elevate our learning to a global theme and a STEM-specific topic, creating a purpose-driven, fun program that incorporates natural conversations in a new language, bilingual stories, moderated group games, memory-sharpening poems, and interactive family games. This is an excellent opportunity to make new friends outside your classroom in your school and have a wonderful in-person time. Are you all excited? Let's begin our adventure together!

Rainbow Clubs are an opportunity to create a safe space for all students! Rainbow Clubs promote inclusion and anti-bullying through discussion and activities related to culture, gender, family make up, neurodiversity, & race among others. Rainbow Clubs are also seen as elementary versions of what are often known as GSA's in middle and high schools. Rainbow Club supports members of LGBTQ+ families, students, and allies and is open to all students at MCE! Each week will include reading a diverse picture book along with crafts and themed activities that promote a supportive & nurturing space for all students to build self-esteem.
