Learn the fundamentals of cricket! This global game is enjoyed by 2 billion people worldwide and is expanding in the U.S.  Batting, bowling, and fielding skills will be taught. Cricket matches are conducted throughout the season. 

Join KE Dance for a welcoming, high-energy program for students to learn new moves, develop technique, and build confidence after school. Weekly classes blend technique, creative exploration and routines. At the end of the class we will have a performance for families to enjoy. 

Science Explorers is a free, after-school enrichment program that introduces students in grades 4 and 5 to fundamental concepts in chemistry, biology, and neuroscience. The program seeks to educate in an engaging way and is intended to be academically focused. In addition to learning the fundamental concepts in these areas, students will also read and discuss articles in science magazines. The program will provide handouts of the content taught in class as well as the articles for class discussion.

Kidding Around Yoga is, in essence, stress management for kids. Students in grades K-5 receive creative instruction in meditation, breathing practices, relaxation, and therapeutic poses. KAY incorporates a series of creative games and yoga-based activities that emphasize the "whole child," combined with original music designed for fun, play and active learning.

Each week, students build a brand-new robot that they get to decorate, experiment with, and proudly take home. The robots might drive, wiggle, light up, or move in surprising ways—and the sense of accomplishment kids feel is always the best part!

Rainbow Clubs are an opportunity to create a safe space for all students! Rainbow Clubs promote inclusion and anti-bullying through discussion and activities related to  culture, gender, family make up, neurodiversity, & race among others. Rainbow Clubs are also seen as elementary versions of what are often known as GSA's in middle and high schools. Rainbow Club supports members of LGBTQ+ families, students, and allies and is open to all students at MCE! Each week will include reading a diverse picture book along with crafts and themed activities that promote a supportive & nurturing space for all students to build self-esteem.
