Welcome Back! Use this checklist to get ready for the school year! This complements the one you'll receive from your student’s teacher.

Sign Up for District and PTSA Communications

 

• MCExpress Weekly Email: Get the latest from MCE every Sunday. Subscribe to this and other PTSA emails.
   

• Infinite Campus: Grades 2-5, login and make sure the appropriate email address is being used for all district and school communications. Please contact Laurie Aldred at laura_aldred@pittsford.monroe.edu for any issues

 

• District Communications: Make sure you are receiving proper district notifications here.

 

• Parents of Mendon Center Facebook Page: A great spot to ask questions and gain quick information. Join at www.facebook.com/groups/ParentsofMCE

Take Care of Your Orders and Registrations​

 

• Order Spirit Wear: Ordering will take place August 18-28. Grade level spirit wear is worn the first Friday of every month! Wear anything in your grade color, or purchase MCE Spirit Wear. Order Here.
   

• Update School Directory: Visit mceptsa.membershiptoolkit.com to register or reactivate your account. Update your info for the Online Directory and Classroom Friendship List and ensure your child’s grade and teacher are correct. If anything is missing or incorrect, email mcestudentdirectory@gmail.com. Please register by September 22.
   

• Welcome Back Picnic: Join us on September 17 from 5:30–7:00pm to celebrate the new school year. This annual PTSA tradition includes a DJ, pizza, and playground fun. Registration information will be sent out once school starts.
   

• Sign Up for After School Enrichment (ASE): Register from September 21-28 at www.mce.pittsfordptsa.net/after-school-enrichment. First classes begin the week of 10/6 and run through the last week of January.
   

• Order the Yearbook: Order your 2025-26 K–5 MCE Yearbook at yearbookforever.com. Please send great photos to be submitted for the yearbook to maureen.morse4@gmail.com. All orders need to be placed before January 20, 2026.
   

• Join the PTSA: We’d love to have you join the PTSA and help to support programs like International Day, STEM Day, field trips, enrichment programs, and more. No volunteer commitment required. Join at www.pittsfordptsa.net/membership.
   

• Volunteer with PTSA: We love our volunteers. Let us know if you’re interested in being more involved, even if it’s just a little bit, at www.cognitoforms.com/PittsfordPTSA/MCEParentVolunteerInfo20252026.
   

• MCE PTSA Meetings: Join us on the second Tuesday of every month at 9:15am in the MCE Cafeteria to hear from Mr. Albano and learn about the work the PTSA is doing. All are welcome! In November, we’re hosting an evening meeting on Thursday, November 13 at 6:30pm.

Please donate the following items to your child's classroom:

 

• Tissues (2 regular size, 2-PLY boxes)

• Paper Towels (2 Select-A-Size Rolls)

• Baby Wipes (2 Unscented Containers – no refill packs)

Grades K or 1: LIQUID SOAP

Softsoap brand liquid soap (Aloe only, NOT antibacterial)

Grade 1, 4 or 5:  ZIPLOC BAGS

• Gallon – if your last name begins with A – F

• Quart – if your last name begins with G – L

• Sandwich – if your last name begins with M- R

• Snack – if your last name begins with S – Z

Grade 2:  ZIPLOC BAGS            

• Gallon – if your last name begins with A – J

• Quart – if your last name begins with K – Q

• Sandwich – if your last name begins with R - Z

 

Grade 3:  ZIPLOC BAGS

• Gallon – if your last name begins with A – M

• Quart – if your last name begins with N - Z

 

*** Contributions of these items are absolutely voluntary; however, MCE PTSA is requesting that families contribute the above-listed items as these specific supplies are better suited to promote and protect the health and welfare of our children than the materials provided by the district/state. ***
